On the 15-17th November 2019, medical students from Queen’s University Belfast travelled to London for a mini-AMSEP with AMSA-England. We managed to take the Belfast delegates for a tour of London which included sightseeing at Tower Bridge, chowing down at Borough Market, sipping bubble tea at Chinatown, strolling the streets of Piccadilly Circus, and much more! After a day of extensive touring, the group then had dinner at Zizzi’s and wrapped up the night by playing several games of intense beer pong at Pong! Beyond tourism and fun activities, there was also a history taking session and a tour of St Thomas’ Hospital that took place to help the medical students to refine their clinical communication skills. Despite it being a short trip, there was no doubt that new friendships were formed between the two AMSA chapters. We would like to thank the AMSEP-NI officers – Vernie and Lillian, and all of the delegates for being such lovely guests; see you again in Belfast!
